Alright folks. Its March 16th. That means that yesterday was the last day to enter the very first CSTAWNY Contest, and guess who won? Uh. No one. Yup. There were zero comments. Now, this should be something I'm embarrassed about, but instead I just want to point something out. I get that it's uncomfortable to put yourself out there on a blog everyone can see. I do it all the time though and it's totally chill. I plan on having another contest soon and I'm really hoping one of my readers takes interest in it. Thanks so much for reading!
A blog about my journey to becoming a fashion designer...and trust me, it's a heck of a lot less cheesy than it sounds.

Fashion Don'ts You Can Actually Do
So.... I'm a bit of a let down. No posts in a couple of days. Weak. I promise I'll start posting more regularly next week though! Today however, I'd like to discuss fashion myths. These are things we have long been told are "fashion don'ts", but in reality are totally chill. Does that make sense? Sure it does.
Take a look.
Fashion Don'ts You Can Actually Do
Brown and Black: This has long been labeled as a fashion faux pas, but really, does it even look bad? No. It looks like two nice colors you just happen to be wearing at once.
White After Labor Day: I have no idea where the idea this was wrong came from, but it's completely illogical and lets be real for a second here. Do you honestly even know exactly when Labor Day is? Nah bro, nah.
Turtle Necks: Okay, so let's make it clear that plain white turtle necks are just never okay, even for layering. However, if you can rock a patterned turtle neck with skinny jeans, go for it.
Overalls- People. Overalls came back. Roll up the bottom, sew 'em skinny, do something to modernize those denim beauties and you can definitely wear them.
In the end, it's all about what you feel comfortable in. Don't ever let someone tell you what you're wearing is wrong. If you feel confident, then who cares? Maybe you're starting a new fashion trend. Just go for it.
